today's squirrel muffins.
i've experimented with lots of different methods of drawing squirrel muffins and i think it shows. the latest comic (above) was drawn on my iPad using an app called Paper by FiftyThree. It's a free download but you buy additional tools inside the app (which actually was my first purchase for my iPad despite having it for about two years now), and it advertises its resolution compatability with the new iPad.
Additionally I purchased a new stylus for my iPad after deciding my old capacitive stylus was not up to par. I checked the Hacker News comment thread on Paper and saw some reviews for styluses that didn't suck, and decided to purchase the Adonit Jot Pro.
It actually is a very nice setup. I am looking forward to drawing on my iPad more with this stylus.
It's not to say I will be abandoning my Wacom tools anytime soon, but I have been feeling more adventurous with experimenting with different tools. This setup doesn't have pressure sensitivity, and sports a limited color selection... but it is still fun to sit down and draw; ultimately I think that is the most important thing.
